* MIT is the first self-financing college opened in India.
* It is the first college to provide PG courses for Avionics and Mechatronics.
* Mr. Rajam ( Founder of MIT ) donated 5 Lakhs to start MIT by selling his home.

* And this the very special unique characteristic of MIT. T-series ( Technocart- series) Technocart means like a leader or Technical Expert. This basically refers to seniors-juniors relation. Consider this situation. A second year guy studying ECE. His roll number is 2010****78. Similarly a first year guy joining ECE and has given a number like 2011****78. So, correspondingly this guy's T-senior is that second year guy. This is applicable for all the years. Hence, in a T- series normally has 4 guys from all the years.

SAP ( School of Architecture and Planning )
ACT ( Alagappa College of Technology )
MIT is located in Chrompet. Rest of the three campuses located in Guindy itself.
* Anna University is previously named as PAUT ( Perarignar Anna University of Technology )
